Azon thermal barrier technology

Machinery

With our expertise in structural thermal barrier for insulating aluminum extrusions for window, door, curtain wall, skylight and related architectural fenestration products we aim to

  • help manufacturers and designers to produce high-quality fenestration products,
  • contribute to energy savings at the highest level
  • assist with productivity and systems to ensure that production costs are minimized, while increasing throughput.

Azo-Brader

Mechanical surface conditioning in the thermal barrier cavity

The Azon Azo-Brader provides mechanical surface conditioning of the extrusion cavity to ensure proper adhesion to difficult finishes. Windows and doors produced with the Azon Azo-Brader, the structural polymer system and Azon E-Quality Audit™ procedures, as outlined in the warranty agreement and quality assurance guide, carry a ten-year warranty against polymer failure.

The *patented Azon Azo-Brader abrades the profile pocket to mechanically lock the polyurethane polymer with the finished surface of the aluminum profile. *U.S. Patent 5-577 951

Lancer

For mechanical locks –  works inline with pour and debridge processing machinery

The Azon Lancer™ provides mechanical surface conditioning of the extrusion cavity to ensure proper adhesion to difficult finishes. Windows and doors produced with the Azon Lancer™, the structural polymer system and Azon E-Quality Audit™ procedures, as outlined in the warranty agreement and quality assurance guide, carry a ten-year warranty against polymer failure.

Fillameter

Metering, mixing and dispensing

The Azon Fillameter HMI with the Tornado III™ dynamic mixer, dispenses liquid two-component polyurethane polymers into the thermal barrier channel. Within minutes, the thermal core solidifies into a very strong, structural composite. The Tornado III dynamic mixers on the Azon pouring machines ensure the two-component structural polymers are mixed properly to produce quality thermal barrier product (the air Tornado II™ mixer type is used  less commonly on standard, manual machinery).

Bridgemill

Debridge  –  removal of the aluminum bridge

The Bridgemill is employed in the third and final step in the thermal barrier process—removal of the metal bridge from the bottom of the channel to produce a true, non-metal-to-metal structural thermal barrier composite suitable for commercial fenestration products used in the building envelope.
